are you going to replace the binding, or play it as is? It is not my cup o' tea, but it definitely screams "80's metal". It actually kind of looks like the Paul stanley washburn models from a few years back. I agree that Washburn makes real nice stuff. Even their cheaper guitars seem well-made for the money. Hell, I bang around on a D-10 acoustic that I bought in '94 and I have never found another 200 dollar acoustic that could touch it. Nice score-we'll need pics of the finished project!

Yeah, I'm gonna replace the missing binding, and fix the chunk missing out of the lower point. I will still play it as is though. I am pretty much decided on a tune-o-matic bridge, and I'm wondering if I will have to recess it into the body at all. I'm guessing not, because the Wonderbars don't appear to be very low-profile. I would actually like to get a pre-worn gold tune-o-matic, so that it matches the rest of the hardware.

I have never actually played a guitar with a Wonderbar. They might be great, but I just think they're ugly.
