Newc, my other DejaVibe is a stereo model with the rocker pedal - cheap would be about $300

As I mentioned in my initial post, I waited 20 years for it

Seriously, I knew these were coming for a while. I assumed they'd be obscenely priced like a lot of Fender CS limiteds are so I didn't pursue it (I was figuring they'd come in just under 4k like similar models had in the past). As it turns out they were going for a more reasonable price. I called around to a bunch of places and finally settled in on my favorite dealer (Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center) who had the guitar for substantially less than any other dealer. I called them on the Thursday the 17th and got the quote - they had two of them and they literally had just come in that day. I called back on Friday to pull the trigger and one was already gone. I got it last Wednesday. So the long winded answer to your question is I waited for 5 days because of the weekend.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am very thrilled to have this guitar.

I know it's probably no big deal to most because it's a plain white Strat but to me it's sort of like Big Red or an LTD. It represents the guitar that was used to create music that has been a huge inspiration for me.

No doubt. If I was a Strat Man, I'd probably be interested in one as well. Bridge Of Sighs stays in my regular rotation CD stack. That's probably the only song besides Stairway that I really wanted to nail note for note.

SWEET, Trower is the sh1t, one of my favorites from back then. It used to always piss me off with the Hendix comparisons cause even though it's there I prefer Trower any day of the week WAY better player IMO.

I always found it funny how Trower was slammed for it and SRV was hailed for it

Re: Fender Custom Shop Robin Trower Tribute Strat

Nice one! I always loved the big-headstock '70s Strats--had one myself back in the mid '80s, however for me it was more of a Blackmore thing.

Wow, that guitar, a copy of Bridge of Sighs and a big bag of pot, and it's like college all over again!!!

By the way, does the Trower model come with the trem blocked the way he likes 'em? That would be the ultimate 'signature' touch, wouldn't it.

Trower is just a master of understatement and using space.
