This arrived today...Less than 20 were built by Kendrick before Gibson threatened suit and they changed the design. Master luthier Tony Nobles handbuilt this in 1994 with the dimensions based on Billy Gibbons Les Paul "Pearly Gates" which BG allowed him to measure. Specs. are: old growth one-piece Honduras mahogany body/neck. The neck profile is offset, fat on the bass side, tapered on the treble side {feels great}. Fingerboard is Brazilian rosewood {cured 25 years}, state of Texas pearl inlay, hand-cut Mammoth Ivory nut, special set of hand-signed aged Antiquities made by Seymour Duncan especially for this guitar. Weighs in at exactly 9 lbs., great balance, Dunlop 6105's, super thin 100% Nitro-cellulose lacquer finish. It's more of an iced tea burst, the red is exaggerated in the pic

WOW!!! Really nice. How does she sound?
[/ QUOTE ] Thanks, I've only had the chance to play it through my Pod XT/studio monitors, but it sounds great and exhibits a real nice distinction between the bridge and neck pickup. Bridge pickup bites without being thin, neck pickup is fat and full sounding as expected. The neck shape is very unique and was carved to the natural shape of your hand in playing posture.

Re: Kendrick Townhouse \"Pearly Gates\" Burst
it's funny, when i was coming home from namm 2003, i was sitting next to a guy named tony nobles on my plane ride home to texas. we pretty much talked for the whole way home, and he even gave me a ride so i didn't have to get a shuttle. really nice guy, and i had no idea who he was until a few months later. kinda funny... he was a really nice guy.
cool guitar, for sure!
