Ok so about a month ago George (Seventhson) put up a listing in the classifieds to sell his
purple San Dimas Jackson Dinky #1420. He also posted pics of a Blue GMW that I just had to have.
Unfortunately John(JohnyRyche) chimed in just ahead of me and said if you want to move it I'll take it.
Well he got it. I was sooooooooo bummed, this thing was calling my name.
George had sent me a bunch of pictures
while John was deciding whether he wanted it or not, and I was hooked.
So I decided to get in touch with John and let him know
that if he didn't like it, that I would take it. It's got a 1/34 nut on it (I love that).
so I checked in with John a couple of times (pestered him) and made him a couple of offers.
Well come to find out John has got a crossed Swords GMW and the French Writing GMW (a big Warren fan!).
Well I've got a Bomber Pilot GMW, and the thing I didn't like about it was that it has a 1 5/8 nut on it.
It just feels too skinny to me.
so I offered John a trade for it to round out his collection,
and after tossing it around for a couple of weeks, he emailed me and said
"Ok, I'll send you the Blue GMW in the G&G case that it came in. If you like it, send
me back the Bomber in the case and we've got a deal. If not just send it back to me"
How f'n cool is that? John doesn't know me from a hole in the wall. So I say Ok and if I don't like It
I'll send you back a check to cover the shipping costs that you incurred.
Well I love it, John recieved my Bomber Pilot last night and we are both thrilled with this transaction.
Only on this board would someone send a $1,500.00 guitar to someone they've never met
and trust there would be no problem. I cant'thank John and George enough, this guitar is just perfect,
I can't put it down!
So now this guitar has gone from Toru to Monte to ChuckRacer to George to John and now to Me!
here's a description that ChuckRacer had posted when he sold it.
"So here it is: 2004 GMW, two piece quilted maple body,
one piece maple neck, 1 3/4" nut width,
slim neck, sculpted and angled heel,
Duncan 59 and Custom 5 non-logo'd pickups,
three way Les Paul type pickup selector, coil tap in the volume pot,
Floyd, Gotoh sg36's, Dunlop 6100's, raw neck, MINT condition. Excellent G&G case included."
It's also got a coil tap in the volume pot that is broken , but I'm having it replaced on Saturday.
I'v also added a D-Tuna (thanks chucksplatter you're the man!) so now it's an extremely versatile guitar.
Here a a bunch of pics, taken by myself, George, John and Toru!
In it's original form with a charvel neck on it when toru had it.
When George had it

When John had it
And now at my house with the D-tuna on it.
I Can't thank everyone involved enough. When Lee is ready to start taking orders, I'm going to have him build me another
one just like this one with an Amber Quilt instead of the Chlorine!
