OMFG!
That is so fukked up!

This is my first Dean and could be the last if mine ends up like that!

Now I have tons of questions to ask the dealer to make sure what I am getting is not like that in the pic above.

On some guitars, multi-binding is used and appears like the picture above. But I agree, they are probably painted lines. Poorly painted, but painted.

I've never owned a Dean and I seriously doubt I will.

For a list price $4000 something, it looks way too cheap and way overpriced.
I expected something much nicer.

All the sudden, I am not excited as I was and makes me feel like I want to drink some beer and get drunk.

I'm sorry yours turned out like that. There is no excuse for sloppiness such as that to ever get out of the factory.

I'm hoping for something better, based on my previous experiences with the Dean's I have owned. Usually these guitars are of a very high quality.

This is really doing wonders for the knot in my stomach. lol

I had been checking out a USA Caddy a few years back but since I had no experience with the brand I went to check them out in person instead of buying over the web. I checked out maybe 8 of them in person. IIRC most of them had binding issues, the fret work was really nasty, the ends were not finished smooth and there were gaps between the frets and binding. And they must have been doing new hire training on the buffing machine that month because some of them had very noticable buff swirls. Visible even on the trans tops.
This was about 4 years ago and it was only a sample of 8 guitars or so but caveat emptor.

Oh man I want one so bad! I love Schenker but was never really interested in getting a Gibson and painting it up but Deans are amazing guitars so I would totally drop the money if it's already finished in Schenker's style.

Patiently awaiting reviews.

All this talk of Schenkers has me wondering. The guy I got my Pre-Pro from is endorsed by Dean. He's got like 25 or 30 sweet Deans including a new Schenker. His band played at the Dean convention and he had MS sign it. I saw alot of Deans that day at his house but I could have sworn it said 1 of 25 or somethin' on the back. You guy's are saying there not out yet and he has one! I wish I knew this a week ago 'cause I would have looked at it a little harder. I think I will call him today and ask him about it!
