SeventhSon

I've been trying that for the past few days, but they can't locate one, The cases are alloted for each guitar, since they stopped production on the Dime guitars there are no more cases and they are very scarece in japan.

I was entertaining the idea of having a custom case made there and sent with the guitar, or have one made here cheaper and send it to them to ship it back, but this could be too costly, so I might just have them ship it in the gigbag.

Buy a Hardshell case for it and ship even you have to wait longer to find a case.
Or if no hardshell case, make sure to double box the package so no damage.

NOTP, I believe the shippig to Canada is bit more expensive.
If not, at least your Les Paul is heavier than Basswood bodied guitar.
Anyway, you still got a great deal on yoru Guitar.

Okay here is another question, did anybody get charged TAX, I mean Japanese tax, not duty and taxes for your state/country, but japanese tax, This guy is trying to tax me, and I've never had to pay another countries tax before, or anothers state tax.

and I've never even paid for tax from another province in canada except my own of course?

am I getting hosed?

If you are outside of Japan, they should not charge tax but most dealers do because they just don't know about it or probably they normally don't ship internationally.
I only know 2 dealers who don't charge but others do.
They consider it as the sale was done in Japan so they want to charge the tax.
Some countries are like this even you are buying from different state in the same country, you will end up paying sales tax of that state even you are online shopping from another state.
Hope this helps.
