They play pretty nice and have great features. I think they're a great value for the money.

          Re: Schecter C-1 Blackjack

I just bought a PT Blackjack. I absolutely love it. My only complaint is this: after I bought it, I put Schaller strap locks on it. During the second gig I used the guitar in, one of the buttons pulled completely out of the wood, sending the guitar crashing to the stage. Fortunately, the only damage was a ding on the back of the guitar into the wood about the size of a pencil eraser. Surprisingly, the guitar stayed in tune, and some wood glue and a toothpick later, it's as good as new.

I should probably add that I picked this guitar because I like the telecaster body, but I don't like anything about Fender telecasters. This is mahogany with a 24.75" scale, so it's more like a Les Paul trapped in a telecaster body. Pics to follow!

I teach at a schecter dealer and I have yet to play a bad one. They are IMHO the best bang for the buck out there. I keep my SL1 and my C1 Elite at work and some days I have trouble deciding which to play!!

I got one shortly after Christmas. Great guitars for the price. You can't really go wrong with one, I've had no issues at all out of mine. I highly reccomend it.

Great bang for the buck, but the neck doesn't suit me because it is too fat for my taste. They sit somewhere between a Jackson and a Les Paul in neck profile.

The local mom and pop has a used Schecter PT, but I don't think it's a Blackjack. In fact, I think it's older than the current crop of Schecter stuff, but I don't really know.

It looks pretty cool...gloss black and the body is thin/shaped like those Aerodyne Strats/Teles from Mexico were. Can't remember the price, though, and I already have the Tele-clone bases covered. But, it seemed to be well constructed.

They are a great guitar for the price. Good materials, good hardware, decent pickups. I'd take them over an LTD any day of the week!
