Another issue is getting hosed on resale. I paid $2700 for the Suhr and I'm afraid I would only get $2000 at best on eBay. I guess I could always put a reserve on it and keep it if it doesn't sell for e decent price.
How did you make out when selling the Suhr's?

That is another reason why I thought it was ridiculous spending $2500+ for a guitar.
No matter how you do, you will lose a lot when you resale but I guess it applies to any brands.
You buy a brand new Gibson for $5000, then you will end up getting $3000 for it when you sell.

On the other hand, GMW guitars hold their values well.
Until couple years ago, they used to sell cheaper.
I used to see Jake replica for $700-800.
Now you can't find one.
Since GMW will have new headstocks with logo on headstocks and will be serialized, I am sure GMW guitars are the way to go if you want to save money for great guitars.

OK, here are more pics.
The Quilt Blue , Body was made by GMW,the neck was owned by Grover.Factory neck.
The guitar now belongs to Nick(the neck is owned by Tom).
The Flame Charvel was refinished by GMW.
Old San Dimas Charvel.
Red Dinky, The body is USA JAckson and Neck was made by GMW.
Owned by Ray now.
The Natural Dinky, The body is GMW and neck is ESP.

Yeah, I know you lose money on almost any guitar you buy new. I was hoping the Suhr was going to be THE guitar; I had no intentions on selling it. Maybe I'm just bummed it didn't turn out to be the "be all end all" I expected.

By the way, nice collection of guitars. I need to show my wife so maybe she will realize 1 guitar is not enough and let me order a GMW. Or, you can sell me one of yours [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img].

Mike, belive it or not, I only have 1 GMW,1 Gibson and 4 Jackson now ..(plus Dean Schenker and custom shop Jackson are on order)..
My collection of guitars has changed a lot.
