I personally love no-inlay fretboards ESPECIALLY with Ebony! And the project I'm about to undertake will feature a blank Ebony fretboard!
<font color="aqua">This topic is kinda funny as I thought the same thing for a moment, then I realized I never even look at the fretboard(face) dots You'll have no problems Joe, the side dots are plenty... especially these side "dots/ovals"
I remember seeing Boston play in (of all places Boston) back in the 80's and Brad Delp had a nice set of Black Soloists with Ebony boards and no inlays.. looked cool as hell ..
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes!~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Damn, those are huge! Very cool. Love the H/S layout, too. The Schecter I'm looking at also is H/S.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
My main guitar for years had no inlays. Now when I see em on other guitars it looks cluttered. But I get around with no problem. As mentioned already, side dots, but I'm so used to the board I don't even use that anymore.
