  • problem with a washburn dime2st

Hello I had a question I was hopeing someone could help me with. I recently bought a used dime2st and for some reason when standing up the head stock tilts to the ground. I was researching and found that the usa guitars have the strap button on the back of the neck as opposed to on the side. My question is since it is a two bolt neck would installing a strap button on the back of the neck ruin the neck. Also would this help my problem with the headstock tilting to the ground. Any help is great. Thanks in advance.

I think you can use one of the neck plate screws to put a strap pin just like some Jackson guitars have but no gurantee if that helps to balance the neck and body though.

The easiest thing you can do is to add something heavy on your strap by the end strap pin.
I used to do that with one of my V shape Gibson and also SG.
They had terrible balance problems and necks always went lower than the bodies.
