Wasn't it in 85 when he officially started plugging Performance guitars? Although I remember seeing more of his Charvels on the Invasion and Dance tours.
I have to agree and even though limited to 20 guitars, if the EVH Charvels can be had less then $3000, then there is no reason why these re-issues should be more (Warran signature included!).

Wow! A guitar company cashing in on something they had nothing to do with!! Reminds me of Wayne Charvel painting all of the old school San Dimas Charvel graphics on his line of guitars. Performance guitars are notoriously overpriced. GMW's and even Charvels for that matter are just as handmade as these guitars at 1/2 the price! As to the pics, the guitars on the left are the new Performance guitars, and the pics on the right are the original guitars. (obvious, I know) The logo on the blood drip guitar was not removed, it simply chipped off, over time. This happened quite a bit with the earliest strat headstocks. I think it might have been an issue of too little clearcoat over the decal. My former Charvel #1505, the logo had begun to chip off, and I actually repaired it myself with a counterfeit logo, before having GMW re-clearcoat the hs, when they resurrected the entire guitar. If Warren needs money, he should go directly to Charvel, like EVH did. This series won't make it, Fender will have them shut down before they know what hit them. It was a crappy idea all around.
