  • Washburn N8 Nuno Bettencourt Doubleneck

Hey guys and gals. I'm currently talking to a guy trying to buy an N8. Has anyone here ever played one of these or seen one in person? What do you think the value of one of these may be? Any ideas or comments will be appreciated (I know it's not a Jackson but Nuno is my favorite guitarist and I have wanted one for so long so don't flame me too bad!) Thanks again.

I never knew they built a Nuno doubleneck. That´s cool.

I've played one, and I'll tell you that they look a lot better than they are. The build quality is just all around shoddy, and the Washburn Floyds are junk. I was very unimpressed with this guitar. They're not even based on the higher-end Nuno models.

The ones I have seen kicked ass. They came with a Schaller Floyd. I have seen fakes that were home made, and even on Ebay they sometimes sell bodies to make your own. But if it a real one, it should be great...........

Nuno played it on the Waiting for the punchline tour.
          They look pretty cool IMO.

The one I saw was brand new in a music store, with hang tags and everything. I guess they made several different versions, just like the single necks. This one had generic pickups and a Washburn Floyd.

Thanks for the input. I'm still up in the air about this guitar though. I have wanted one for so long. The seller is emailing me pictures over the weekend, with a detailed description of the guitar/hardware, etc. Hopefully that plus all your great input will help me make the decision. He also has an N4 Korina for sell that I was thinking of picking up.

The real ones were made in the custom shop and were high end and very expensive. The N4 is a great guitar with quality hardware, the N8 was the same in terms of quality. They probalby made cheaper ones as well.

N4 Korina are limited edition to 100 or so?
                    That looks sweet.
Also limited edition of Mahogany N4 that was released last year.

The N4 Korina was limited to 75. All signed by Nuno with a certificate also signed by Nuno, gold hardware, etc. I don't care too much for the look of the mahogany, but the mourning widows inlays on them are sweet.

Well, I just completed a deal to buy the N8 Doubleneck Nuno as well as the N4 Korina. I sent the payment, now I am just waiting on the guitars. He is shipping them Tuesday by Fedex. I know you guys will want pics, but I am unable to post pics, so if someone will host them for me, I will post them. Thanks

Thanks, Toru. You wouldn't believe the price I got them for. Other news, I am still waiting on the Y2KV rework/repaint from Lee, so hopefully I will have 3 new guitars soon. I think I will email Lee again and try to get the ball rolling.

                              Cool!

I ended up buying the same color Y2KV because I missed mine so much and was a best playing string thru Jackson guitar I have ever played.
I have been thinking of refinishing it in RGF.
So Lee would have 2 Y2KVs to work on.
