Re: Washburn N8 Nuno Bettencourt Doubleneck

Toru, just got an email back from Lee. He said he pretty much stopped taking refinishes until 2006 because he has such a backlog. He even mentioned you in his email (Red Ghost Flames). He said I'm lucky that mine is already in the pile, but that he still doesn't know when he will get to it. I guess I'll just have to be patient. Good things come to those who wait, Right!

Yea,I was talking with Lee and refinishing work will take VERY VERY LONG TIME...could go up to 1 year.
Basically he is not accepting any refinish work right now.

I'd say I still want to do it because finding a RGF Y2KV would take more than waiting for the guitar to be refinished.
I only have seen 1 before.

Maybe I will wait for Lee to say "Hey, send me your guitar now we can do it now" and until then, I should be playing the guitar, not letting it to be sitting at his shop for months doing nothing.

Mourning Widows is the name of Nuno's last band. He has a tattoo on his left arm that is supposed to signify that band. On a recent Washburn collaboration, the put that tattoo shape as inlays on Nuno's Mahogany N4.
