    4.I would buy GMW and can't wait for their new headstocks to become available but if you can find a used Charvel in mint shape for $1000 or so, I think that would be a killer as well but that would be in solid color though.

      I think he is trying to protect from people faking GMW guitars.
      Sometimes it is hard to knwo if they are GMWs or Warmoth or others.
      But with serial #s, it will be easy to tell the differences by asking the #s when you see one up for sale.
      Plus the headstock will have GMW logo.
      So that is cool too.
