From what I remember the purple is a candy violet over a silver base coat: I sent in a guide pic of one of Tracy's guitars and from that Lee and Dan Lawrence worked out what colour it was, how to mix it and then Dan painted it.
The purple one was kind of inspired by a couple of Toru's guitars which I'd seen pics of and really liked, but then I added my own idiosyncrasies to it!

Very, very cool! Does Dan have his initials and year in one of the handles of the swords? Pretty neat little touch that I've got on my GMW crossed swords.
That Purple is SO NICE! now I am missing my Dinky...
Do you have a reversed headstock there as well?
I always like Dinky body with reversed headstock no matter it is a Pointy or Strathead or Kramer shape.
They seem to look nice on Dinky Shape.
Now, please wait and you will see my new one that I am working on.
Not so soon but it will have a new color that I would call it as Candy Toru Blue.....
I am serious! It's a new version of my own color....
Thanks for the replies guys: As we all know, it's always cool to get complements on your guitars....
Johnny: The Ratt guitar does have Dan's initials and year on the end of the handle by the lower cutaway. I figure he must sign everything cos my DK1 has his sig on it as well.
Toru: Sorry to bring up the loss of your dinky, but I'm sure the new one will make up for it (I'm looking forward to the pics already!) Mine has a non-reverse head, which I'm happy with, but would be equally happy with a reverse...esp if it was the extinct strat head (dream on!!)
