• SD Replica - Warmoth Project

Here is my mutt I'm still working on.
The body is a replica of an '82 San Dimas Charvel that I picked up off of ebay from blackhorseguitars. The Neck is Warmoth (thanks Newc).I need to get a control cover and I want to get a chrome R3 nut to replace the black one. I'm very pleased with how well it plays from the initial setup I did

Schaller Tuners
OFR Bridge
Evolution pickup
Mahogony body
Birdsey Maple Neck

I like it. How does it sound with the Evo?

I need one of those bodies.
I want to build almost the exact thing, but I want a reverse headstock, and I'm going to finish the body in OD Green.

Sweet, love the body on that one, is it oiled or stained?
I need Lee (GMW) to make me one like this with 2 hums!
Nice one

Thanks everyone

The EVO sounds great, I really like the tone I'm getting out of it.

The neck pocket is flat so I shimed the neck and the Floyd is up off the body so there is a little room to pull back.
--
I used tongue oil on the body.

I would like to do another one with a lynch style bengal finish

Awesome job. I bet that thing rips when playing it! What is the neck profile like?

The neck profile is not thick but rounder feeling than a dinky.

It was very simple to do, this i could handle

Nice job! Maybe a black floyd would fit that body better, jmo.
