I'd take the HM but then again I like EMGs and don't like stock Jackson pups from that era.

It depends on the guitar. Both varied alot in production............

I had one of those fender HM's for a while. Talk about sweet. But then again, I had a model 4 for a while, and that was cool too

If you can get them for the same price though, grab the HM. The HM's are worth more than the M4.

Re: Fender HM vs. Model 4

HM's are getting harder to find these days and the price is rising for them as new musicians now know Fender made them there best necks.Trouble with a lot of them is they will look tatty seeing there normaly played hard-but look through the decals and you will have a real high end axe at low price that was good enough for Greg Howe

Thanks for the input guys - Is the HM's heel much smaller then an original strat?

it is smaller mate-i have just compared my two strats(HM and a roadhouse)and you can clearly see putting them side by side.My daughter always plays the HM as the other guitar necks here are fatter-not as flat and wide as the HM-there realy comfy necks to play on for some time

Get the Fender HM. Great neck and the Emg's are a big bonus! Just my opinion.

The only thing is that it's.. pink. Is the Kahler Spider any good?

That model 6 looks insane, looks like it's glowing

I don't really mind that is pink because, the guitar came from the '80s in that era bright colors were populair.
But I don't think many people in 2005 know that Maybe they will associate it with "certified as gay"

My HM is pink too. I think you should let your playing do the talking and not worry about what the fashion police have to say...............
