Yeah Newcenstein has some incredibly sweet Zakk Bullseye Gibby op on the bay, I would buy it if it was in the EU.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Throw an original Floyd on that SL2, and I still wouldn't do it. Sorry guys, just MHO.

go to lespaulforum.com- those guys over there know everything about pretty much every gibson. I do know that the explorer in question is what they call a "norlin"- made with questionable QC. Norlin owned gibson from 74-85/86, and some guitars were great, others,, not so good. I have a 78 standard LP, probably the best guitar i've played, but have played others from that era that just well, sucked.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Looks like it was painted with a roller, and then chewed by a large dog.

No kidding! I saw the thing in person, and there's no way in hell I want it now. He says it's not a refin, but it's as if someone smeared tar all over it, it's that tick and inconsistent!

I'm extremely down right now, I'm gonna blow up with all this GAS!

                              UPDATE!

Update on that gibby guys! Check out these pics, he says he isn't sure if it was re-finished, but the pics leave little doubt...

Here are two High RES photo's:

                              http://users.pandora.be/metallipriest/re02.jp
                              http://users.pandora.be/metallipriest/re03.jpg

and here's the headstock, which is the most blatant proof of all:

I'm gonna try and get it for cheap and possibly get a REAL re-fin. venthough finding someone here in Europe to do it is gonna be a bitch....

P.S. Let's take 'em by storm Toru!

                                Re: UPDATE!

See if you can still get the Pro Am for the SL2 - those things have far more resale than a non-76-style Explorer.
