The pickguard looks way goofy. You need to have that worn in too, because it looks quite out of place. It should have that sort of aged / yellowed look.

The pickguard IS reliced around the pickups and knobs. The 50's single ply guards didn't yellow due the material they were made from.

I really like the subtlety of that Tele, but it seems like it'd be much more fun to just play the crap out of it for 10-20 years and get the same result. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
