I have a flying v with this pickup and I just parted ways with a very cool Explorer that also came with this pick up. Let me say this, for my taste it has almost too much heat! I constently found myself backing off the volume to try and clean it up.Lot's of crunch and that famous Gibson tone.If your looking for a metal pickup I say go for it. Both guitars sound very LOUD.
