that gmp firebird is awesome but I was bummed it was not neck-thru. That's cool for a LP, but that's just not right for a firebird.

I agree Lance. The only thing that held me back so long on these is that the first one I acquired has a *MASSIVE* heel but after they switched to sculpted heels on all their models there really isn't a ton of difference, at least not enough to bug me at all.

I don't know. It's my understanding that there were a couple of guys out there who did almost all of the build & paint work and maybe 2-3 others who helped out from time-to-time. Brad, I noticed something funny about these GMPs...
Why did they only use Chrome parts?
I think most of GMP guitars I have seen come with Chrome Parts.
I think I have never seen one with Black parts for example..

I think they were going for a vintage/retro feel with their instruments Toru. Chrome is about as retro as it gets. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

But they did occasionally use other finishes as well. E.g., that gold Roxie has black hardware and once in a while they used gold as well:
