Is this the same guy Pete had a go'round with a while back for a Hamer Strat? Sounds like it.
$4000 for a $5000 gutar and he's bitching? I'd hafta ask if he was hoping to make the extra grand+ on a resale and realised he couldn't get it because of the case and one screw

The guy really needs another hobby.

I must be really blind, I don't see any damage on the screw and the damage to the case doesn't really look that bad at all, you probably have to be looking for it to find it. I agree with the above poster that the dude's wife probably found out and laid the smack down

I tend to think that part of the problem is due to the fact that most PRS players tend to invest in their instruments rather than play them. The ratio of dead-mint unplayed used PRS guitars on the market has got to be far higher than for any other maker. They don't buy them to play, they buy them to store in the closet and resell in ten years. Most PRS owners really need to sell all of their guitars put the money in nice safe investments, it'll double far faster that way then sitting in a case in the closet. A case is designed to PROTECT a guitar from damage. As a result, they get damaged.

Exactly. The guy sounds like a dick! If he's unhappy, refund his money minus the shipping fees you paid out. Fuck that guy!

Ditto YetAnotherOne.

Also, I think it may be buyers remorse even though he may not admit it.

Ah this guy is driving me nuts. He was supposed to send it overnight. I get the tracking # and it's express saver. Meaning 4 days till I get it. I know it will get here in 1 piece, but it's just another example of this guy being a cheapskate(sp?), didn't want to spend $30 for bank wire(had me hold onto his check since the 25th). Doesn't want to spend the extra money to ship a 4K guitar, even that's how he wanted it. I am going to deduct the shipping from his refund, screw him.
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

Yes, good choice. Just refund him 3900. Why should you spend your nerves and extra money out of your pocket for a guy like this?

Yea! deduct all the cost and refund the balance.

What happens if the guitar gets damaged in transit?
I hope he put $4000 insurance on it when he shipped it back.
Would be the scariest thing....

PRS may stand for, 'Playing's Really Second,' as investment is the first priority for some. I have had worse case damage from putting an axe in the trunk and drivng for an hour. I saw the GP ad and think he got a great deal.

I'm done with PRS stuff. They play and look great but have no personality (don't even get me going on the finish that is as thick as the stuff on a Mexican restaurant tabletop). I ran into the same unreasonable buyers that are upset when a guitar advertised as "excellent" condition has a pinhead sized impression on the back.

You have way more patience than I would in this situation.

OK, now that I read this closer I'd really be worked up. Your refund agreement was based on him shipping it back next day. He didn't follow this so the deal is off. He's taking up time that you could use to sell the guitar. Personally I would send him this email-

Hello - since you didn't not follow the terms of the refund we agreed to I will not be accepting the guitar back. I am refusing the Fed Ex shipment when it arrives. The guitar is being returned to you and I am keeping the money. Please do not contact me again. I am blocking your email from my account and will not answer any more questions concerning this matter. Have a nice day and thank you for the business.
