  • Ibanez 540PHH help (pickup experts!)

Hey guys. Does anyone know what humbuckers came stock in neck and bridge in an Ibanez 540PHH? I know Ibz had their model names, but what precisely did they correspond to? I'm in planning stages for a custom shop Jackson Demon to replicate and improve a 540P! Thanks.

I believe they came with F3 in the bridge and F2 in the neck position.
At least Alex Skolnick's own guitars had them.

What I meant to say is, if its an F3 or F4 for example, what pickup currently on the market would that be most like? Dimarzio Super Distortion, Duncan Invader, etc? I remember in the back of one of the old Ibz catalogs it basically told what the pup models were like.

Dimarzio for sure. I would think Tone Zone, Evolution, PAF Pro, Steves Special, Norton, Air Norton.

I'd say Tone Zone for the bridge and PAF Pro for the neck position.

I concure with the Tone Zone and Paf Pro. The IBZ pups were dimarzio built for Ibanez. Hoshino designed the pups and Dimarzio built them.

Cool. Thanks for the info. That wouldn't be a bad pair of pups to have in a Demon.
