What's an R3 nut? Both the R3 and R4 seem to be 1-11/16" wide. How are they different?

(And yeah, nice guitar!)

So the R3 is like a 1-5/8" spacing on a 1-11/16" neck?

R2 = 1 5/8"
R3 = 1 11/16" Narrow string space
R4 = 1 11/16" Wide spacing
R5 = 1 3/4"

R3 and R4 have the same physical width of the nut, but the slots for the strings are wider on the R4.
