Well I'm still waiting for authentication on the whole deal from Washburn, and Dinkyjacksonman, this very well could be the same guitar, but The story I was told is that during the Japanese leg of the GSTK tour Dime met up with someone at a store or a friend in Japan and either sold it to him or gave it to him from Washburn, as I understand there are only 3 of these guitars made with the all red headstock, 2 of wich Dime had and one that he gave to David Allan Coe. David still has his, so I'm not sure if any of this is 100% since the guy I was dealing with didn't know how to speak english, but he was the only one that could use a program to translate it, so there is probably ALOT that is lost in translation. Also at that time apparently is when Dime signed it and gave it to the guy.

Anyhow the coolest part to this whole story is that I met Dime backstage at a show in T.O. and he was holding this guitar (I think), hugged me and gave me a blacktooth grin,
and was instanly my Friend, we talked and he gave me some picks and signed a few of my things, and since then this guitar along with the Dimeslime have been the guitars I've wanted badly, the fact that I got this guitar and could potentially have been his or something he gave to someone is the coolest thing I could ever hope for, and surly this guitar will never leave my possession.

I'm still waiting to find out from washburn if any of this is true, This is merely what I got from the many many emails over a three month period I got from the person I bought it from. Anyhow, this is my day and I'm as happy as a pig in shit, I don't think I've ever been happier!

true or not, this is one killer guitar!

one last parting shot, either someone did this, or the man himself, but on the neck pickup there is SERIOUS tape residue on the pickup ring and on the pickup itself, I don't know if himself the man did it or not but that just adds another cool factor too it, to think that the guitar had the trademark tape on the pickup ring and pickup just makes me love it even more!

anyhow, I'm spent and I'm just going to go play it for a while and remember the man who taught me how to play gutiar and taught me how to be as a person, without Dime, I wouldn't be on these boards today nor would I have the passion to be alive that he gave me

I just put it through it's paces and played for a good long while!
it just sounds so godamn electric!!!!

it's nice and warn in and feels perfect!!!
my other Dime guitars will certainly stay in thier cases for a while!
