I have one similar, only its an HS with the humbucker at the neck. It also is pickguard-less. I like it cause the neck feels really good. The sound, though not overall crunchy, is good..for a tele. I kept the single p/u at the bridge to keep that tele sound.

I had one of the Scorpion teles a couple of years or so ago: it felt nice and sounded good, especially for the money, but I didn't connect with it so it went on it's way.....
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get
I was kinda digging the FMT HH Strats. There's a shop not too far from me that has a bunch of them...I played them all to see how consistant they were....almost pulled the trigger on a natural Flame top...nice feel overall! Seems like a decent value!
Damn, this Tele is so sweet. I want the exact one with black finish and P90's instead of humbuckers ... I remember Fender has built some of P90-equipped Teles with big pickguard, but they're out of production line I think. Man, this is the only Fender guitar left, I want to own.
I have the Showmaster HH which other than the strat shape and basswood body, specs out the same as the Custom Tele FMT HH. Note if you click the tele specs on the Fender site, you get USA duncans (like the one on Chrisguitars.com). Mine has these duncans. I was able to get mine at store blow out $399. Sounds great and plays great and looks great (good construction) and with the flatter radius the neck feels familiar to me (based on my J/C guitars). Worth it if you can get from between $400-$500.
