59' Gibson......how much is it worth?

It is the double cutaway TV Special in the TV yellow finish with 2 P-90's and a single peice wrap around bridge. 2 volume, 2 tone and 3 way switch. My buddy wants to know what it's worth because he got a $4000 offer. I don't have access to it so I can't post pics. It's got moderate player wear and has been taken care off pretty well. I'd say it has 97% finish and it all works, plays and sound great.

i'd guess more than 4k, but i could be wrong. if it's in that good of shape, i'd think he could get more. he should ebay it.

They're VERY desireable, especially if they're bone stock. Easily $5,500.00 plus if it's original. If it's clean, higher than that.

$4 to $5 grand (depending on condition) is the going rate for these, as Mr. Graphic said...they are quite desirable. Same for Jr's....the TV yellow finish is slightly more desirable being they made the bulk of these in Cherry.
