It's pounds... That'd be about 660 dollars for a model 6 over here in the UK.
Ok, let's assume I didn't include the Soloist and Charvel in the list, what would come next out of those Jackson, Ibanez, Schecter and LTDs?

I must say the COW looks great. What to expect of the neck and the signature stuff? Anything too apparent? I usually don't go too much for sig stuff but in this case... Would it be possible to unsignify it if it's too apparent?

Edit: ARRRRGH it's got a big ass signature on the headstock's back and on the truss rod cover GRRRR... and it's a bolt on But damn it looks so goood *droooool* and it's relatively cheap too! 600 euros...I'd pay as much for a model 5 or 6 I reckon.

Another important difference besides the ebony board that separates the Soloist Pro from the Model 6 & the 650XL is that it has a quartersawn neck. I've never had any neck stability problems with my Model 6, but you can't really say it was made to USA specs without the quartersawn neck, imo. Of the other choices listed, those Schecters really stand out. I think they are amazing bang-for-the-buck guitars.

The soloist, Charvel model 5, and Shecter C1 all make a hard bet. They tie in my opinion. I'd go with a soloist just so that I could have the tremolo.

Go ahead and scratch those Ibanezes off the list. I don't see how the sound compares to any of these guitars.

If you can get a Model 6/650XL for 350 quid, grab it! My local music store has a beat-up 6 at £399, and a 750XL going for £799!
My personal recommendation, FWIW, is a Charvel 550XL.

If I go the model way, it'd probably be the first that comes up in ebay :P 550, 650, 750, 6 or 5, I'd take any of these. How was the 550xl?

Re: Which of these guitar offers the best quality?

The 550 has a single-coil sized hotrails humbucker in the neck position, so it's a little bit brighter than a model 5. Still a neckthru Soloist clone, although the Rosewood board and Chrome hardware may not be to everybodys tastes. Mine was in a lovely sparkly Silver Flake!

:O A hum and a single coil in the neck is EXACTLY what I'd be looking for heheh... Good idea. I wish they sold in the UK, I never saw any toothpaste charvels on ebay until now, only some models. There is one at the moment, alongside a 3 (advertised as a 6... *sigh*) and a 6.

Hehehe so far the COW is given winner, followed by the MH400NT then the Hellraiser. A model series would be fine but I don't know...So many other stuff out there ya know... definitely some other time when I know how to play guitar though
