  • Which of these guitar offers the best quality?

I don't really mean bang for buck though that'd help too.
Yeah I know it's quite an annoying type of threads but I haven't the experience necessary to know these things nor can I try most of them. Basically out of these guitars, which would offer the best quality in wood work, assembly (etc...) do you reckon? It's what matters to me the most as of now:
    Ibanez RGT42DXFM
    Ibanez RG2620QM
    LTD EC400/MH400NT/Viper 400
    Jackson DK2
    Jackson DKMG or MGT
    Jackson COW 6 black
    Schecter C1 Hellraiser
    Charvel model 5
    90s' Jackson soloist pro (Japan)

The Jackson soloists are very hard to find, the Charvel 5 will be too. There is also very little chances that I could ever try any of the LTD400 series and the COW sig, and same with the Schecter (which I can't find in Europe anyway but I really love it so it's in the list hehe)
Any advise would be appreciated... Basically I want 24 frets, decent sustain (my model 4's sustain isn't too great), a non basswood body (to experiment with different woods) and if possible no middle pickups.

I LOVE my DXMG personally. I've heard good things about the Schectors, and you can't go wrong with a Model 5. The others I wouldnt be able to help ya out with..

I couldn't be happier with the build quality of my Model 5. It's built like a tank. I get plenty of sustain with the stock PUPS. I can't comment on the other guitars listed.

I have the RGT42 (and other RGs/Ss), various LTDs (but not the ones you mention), DK2, DXMG, various Schecters (including C1-Exotic), a 5A and a soloist pro from your list.

I agree with the others, the Soloist Pro with ebony board would be best. That said, with it being hard to find, I offer these suggestions (in keeping with lower pricing and bang for the buck):
Schecter C1 Exotic, similar to the C1 hellraiser, but ebony fingerboard (no emgs though). I bought mine from this ebayer, he ships international, would be $640 shipped to you (retails for $1179 ($230 more than the C1 hellraiser), and it's an awesome guitar):
              Ebay C1 Exotic

I also love my GuitarXpress limited edition DXMG in Road Hazard Yellow. Lloyd has a couple left $495+ship, and I'm sure he'd ship international:
              DXMG RHY

Are you still pondering this, pott? o__O

A jackson Pro or a Charvel Model series, no doubt.

They are the hardest to find, though I'd probably feel more comfortable with them indeed as the neck probably would be similar to my charvel's.

And yeah haha I can't make a choice it's horrible! I need an objective to start saving or else I'll just spend everything in crap, I'm like that.
It also seems like the MH400NT is basically the same as the hellraiser and the dark cherry quilted hellraiser is sexy as hell...
The C1 exoctic would be just as hard to find. Would the neck be similar to any other Schecters I can play here (blackjack, elite...)?
GodOfRythm, thou who liveth in Europe, how much do Jackson pro usually run for? I haven't seen one on any ebay for AGES... And the model 5s? A model 6 goes for 350 pounds in the UK usually.

What amp are you using, Sustain has alot to do with that as well.

I'd say a good Pro would fetch around 5 to 600 euro's. Eventhough I haven't seen much of them for sale.

The Model series usually command a much lower price, because here in Europe they are basically completely unknown guitars.

Pros have a recessed Schaller trem and non-angled neck, in addition to the ebony board and MOP Jackson logo. The Model 5/6 have a non-recessed JT-6 trem. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same.

350 for a Model 6 is a bargain IMO. They're basically Soloist Pros with rosewood boards.
