Has anyone had any experience with these guitars? They were produced in the early 90's and have original floyd rose trems and dimarzio pickups. How thick/playable are the necks on these?

Re: Japan Fender Strat USA Hot Rod Reissue
Early HRRs had Kahler Steelers on them. After that they had original Floyds. The trem is recessed and the neck heel is countoured. The bodys are basswood. They came with a Dimarzio Super 3 in the bridge and generic MIJ Fender single coils. They also had a push pull knob for a coil tap. The necks are pretty thin front to back and the boards are flat with MJ frets. They have vintage style tuners and vitage style logos. Anything that doesn't meet this description is not an HRR. There are other MIJ Fenders with Floyds that are not HRRs, but they are represented as HRRs. Not that the other variations are not nice, they just are not HRRs.

Re: Japan Fender Strat USA Hot Rod Reissue
I have three Japanese strats... one HRR, one fotoflame '62, and a contemporary from the 80s. The HRR is pretty cool, my only real complaint is that the inserts came out of the body pretty easily and it dings REALLY easy. The HRRs are pretty nice for the money. I don't want to start a flame war, but I pretty much prefer the japanese fenders over the standard USA models.
