Re: Gibson sonex 180, what can you tell me
Um - those make Charvette's look classy. If I remember correctly, the body is plastic...750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...
Why do I still want MORE?

Re: Gibson sonex 180, what can you tell me
I owned 2 of them. Here is the lowdown:
The hardware is excellent.
The pickups are Dirty Fingers and usually can be sold for much more than you payed for the entire guitar.
The body is made out of Masonite which is the same material Danelectro used.
The neck is a bolt on and has a Gibson SG special feel to it.
I thought the guitars sounded and played fine.
If you can find one in its original black wood rectangular case all the better.
I bought and sold both of mine strictly to turn a profit.. I did.. bigtime. Just check and see how much used 80's original Dirty Fingers humbuckers sell for!
