Finally scored a Veleno guitar

I've been wanting a Veleno for years & I finally got one. Ever since seeing Frank Hannon play one with Tesla back in the day, I thought these were some of the coolest looking guitars ever.





This one saw some live action saturday night too.

Whoa...is that completely made of metal, or is it just painted that way? I love everything but the non-standard dots, which would throw me off.

Yep they are completely made from aluminum. Neck is solid cast aluminum & very highly polished. Body is milled from two pieces of aluminum which are bolted together & chrome plated....the body is actually hollow.

The sound is very big & fat with sustain for days.

Pickups in this one are Seymour Duncan 59 neck & Distortion bridge. I think the Distortion may be just a tad too high endy for this guitar.......I may try my new favorite Duncan Custom 5 in her.

Nah....only weighs about 8 lbs.

The fretboard gleam under stage lights can make it a little hard to see where you're going though. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I played one at a shop I worked at very thin neck. I like the way Travis Bean's they played much better and sounded just as good.
