I finally tried a few this weekend at the Philly guitar show. Really nice. I'd prefer a contoured top but they sounded and played great. Very Gretsch-like sound in their "filtertron" models and the necks had a nice profile - not too fat or thin. Similiar to a Suhr medium C shape. These seems like a really good deal for the money.

I agree....really great guitars for the money & they play & sound fantastic.
I got mine new in 1999 when Joe Naylor was pretty much building them himself with a couple of guys helping out.....this was in the original Eastpointe manufacturing facility (basically a garage).
The Eastpointe necks were a good bit fatter than the current production necks.
