No, My Name is Casey McNerney, another Irish Man...! Actually, I started working for Chris McLernon around 91', Cold Sweat through the Cold Gin thing, Into Saigon Kick. Basically anything to do with Chris'Career, I was involved, and Like wise, (Especially KISS). He took me under his wing when I was 19+ and to this day, we speak 2-3 times a day.

wow, not to hijack, but posepatrol, how long were you working for kiss? was ace as much of a mess this time around as gene says?

              [/ QUOTE ]

I quit after the Reunion due to an injury, and a marriage, ....thats redundant.

Ace was fine, the easier of the 3 to work for if you take out all the Pyro.

I have a bunch of Pictures I can scan of me loading the smoker if anyone is intrested.

Icemans are so cool looking. I especially like the one Paul used to play with the "holoflash" type finish...

Re: Want to see something cool Kiss freaks!!!!!!!!

I'll post them in the Artist area when I scan them they were taken by a Local Crew/Fan guy that I happen to be nice to that day. I look like a tool, (Closed eyes alot) but whatever.

I assume the Irv Guy was the Inventor of the smoker, I came in after the tour had started ( I was finishing a 11 month run with Fishbone and we were doing like 20 countries in 30 days, then 2 weeks off in Maui and a gig there before we went home.

The smoker was a mess and was held together with TAPE. I made changes when I had time to test them, It had a RC Remote to shut off the light ( The light made it look like it was on fire) once it flew. We re-did them for the "Suckass Circus" Tour. Major changes, about 2/3 the routing out and a real plate to cover the back, no more tape, Lithium Batteries instead of the Tyco RC car ones and Quick Connects instead of allagater clips, and also a Panic button instead of a spare fuse hanging out the back. The bombs were custom made then I would tear them apart and put an extra electronic match to make sure it would light. But after the gags were done he would play the same guitar all night, I am a FREAK for FRESH STRINGS, so he never broke one the entire time I worked for him,to this day he still tells his new techs that.

maybe it was ira katz, i forget. he's a customer of a friend of mine, and he got me in touch with him. he provided the smoke bombs you tore apart, i believe. i've actually noticed in video that i've seen that the back of the guitar was tape, so i know what you're talkin about! i also know what fickle pains in the ass those smoking guitars can be as well. i always had an extra fuse hanging out so that my tech could light it up if he needed to. cool story, and i look forward to the pix.
