just picked up my first prs (ce22) on the bay for $1k (miles cheaper than you can get them for in the u.k.) the sound is amazing, lots of power and the trem isn't too bad for a non locking trem. the only thing i had trouble with was getting used to the neck radius (alot different from the ibanez and charvels that i usualy play!!!) it sounds like my old les paul studio toneally (quality woods??) anyway heres some pics .. Re: just got my first PRS....
They pretty much play themselves - almost too easy - & a great sound (my mate just bought a singlecut, I had a quick play & now..........GAS!). Lovely guitars & that one looks cool! Good price too.Wal - Good from far, but far from good

Re: just got my first PRS....
When you find a PRS you really like, you will never let it (or them) go. Problem is, it takes time to find one you mesh with....

Re: just got my first PRS....
Dude, nice guitar! That top is sweet!
I've got a CE24, and I love it. Luckilly for me, I only had to play a few PRS guitars to find the one I wanted (A bolt on, with dot inlays, wide thin board, and burgandy/purple flame top) I thought it was a Custom 24, but here, what I wanted was the CE24!! Saved some bucks, and got all the features of a CU24
(Only difference between CE24s and CU 24s are
You can PAY to have bird inlays on a CU.
CU has SET neck.
CU has 10 top option.
CU has different neck wood than the CE. CU has Mahog (I think) and CE has Maple.
I couldn't be happier I scored a PRS, and I'm sure you're feeling the same way. Enjoy that sweet guitar!

Re: just got my first PRS....
Sweet guitar, I like the color as well.
You know, for a while I thought there was no way I wouldn't like a PRS guitar. I would have to agree, to a point with Shawn, while most PRS guiatrs are flawless in the last three years I had to let go 2 of them.
First a SAS, I read so much about it, bought one and really wanted to like it but she and I could not blend. Can't put my finger on it.
Second, a CU-22 with a WT neck. I kinda liked it but there was something always missing. On this one I can tell you it was the neck, WF is the one for me and that is pretty much the rest of the story.
I think PRSi are THE perfect blend of Gibson and Fender, IMHO and tastes.
I am a strat guy and love strat heads, never and to this day don't like Gibsons. When I first saw a PRS I said "whatever"... played one and I was hooked.
