Hamer USA strat - just got one ;)

a few pics:




I had a green one I ebayed awhile back, but it had small frets. This one doesn't have jumbos, but they are bigger than medium - I guess medium jumbos? [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Guitar sounds and plays wonderfully. when I took the neck off it fit so perfectly into the pocket that I could lift the guitar body by the neck with all the bolts out. But it wasn't so tight that it bound... amazing. Pickups have cloth wiring (are duncan vintage) and it had sperzels stock. It reminds me a LOT of my Charvel '95 USA strat, but it sounds better and it seems to be built better too. *gulp*.

I'm not sure. it's a '95, so it's either ash or alder. I can't tell what the hell the woods look like. It's fairly heavy and sounds great, whatever it is.

Very sweet score, Pete. I've wanted one of those Daytonas for a while, but something else always seems to come up. Perhaps you wouldn't mind posting some video clips of you playing it. I, for one, would love to see it in action.

Cool Pete - a former bandmate had one - it was very nice. I like those bridges - I have one on one of my Warmoth guitars.

Thanks guys. It plays like a friggin' dream, but weighs a ton. I'll have to stick a duncan hot rails in the bridge and see how I like it then. Other than the weight, it beats hell out of nearly every fender I've come across.
