Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! I have been thinking that I never use the middle pickup, so I think I'm gonna go with Chuck's suggestion about the Hum-Sin pickguard. I'm still debating about the color of the pickguard and if I should change the knobs to chrome ones.

I'd order a 1 hum 1 single pickguard from Warmoth in 1 ply black, with the strat switch and one volume knob where the middle tone is now.
Tone Zone (if you insist), and a Duncan Cool Rails in the neck.
Everybody puts those pearloid pickguards on their strats...go a different way!

What Chuck said... except I'd go with a three-way Gibson-type toggle instead of the typical Strat blade switch.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Kind of like the strat Kirk Hammett played around the "MASTER"era,it was a FERNANDES strat with 3 black cover EMG's.I've got an old picture from a guitar player magizine from april 89 that has a good picture of it.

I just suggested the strat blade switch cause that's what I use and like. I'm fast as hell and accurate with that switch, where-as with the Gibby switch I have to pay attention to my switching. That's the only reason...go with what you prefer.
Either way, that guitar with a black guard, 1 hum 1 single, chrome knob...yup! Tasty!
You can't go wrong with the Gilmour EMG's if you want tonal versatility. I had a set in a mutt strat and they were pretty cool. You can even get a near humbucker sound using the mis boost circuit. That being said, I recently pulled the EMG's and put in a HS configuration with a mirrored pick guard, Anderson H2+ in the bridge abd SD2 in the neck. I like this combo even more.
I think the blakc pickguard would look awesome, but only if I change all the hardware to black. What do you think? If I change all the hardware to black and get a black guard, what color would you choose for the pickups?
Asswood body, I'd probably get a Warmoth hollow body made of Mahogany. May seem a bit extreme, but the neck looks like it's worth it. For some stupid reason, most Fenders with Floyds have only 21 frets. Whereas this one has 22.
Locking tuners for faster string changes, and a Tremsetter for sure.
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking
