  • LTD George Lynch models

Anybody out there have the less expensive LTD version of the ESP George Lynch models? Just curious as to playability, sound of pickups, neck, etc. I know you aren't going to get the same as the Signature models with SD pickups, etc. Just curious.

I have the LTD GL-500K, the black tan camo kami I. I also have the ESP Kami II, III, & IV and the M1-Tiger. The LTD kami has a hefty body weight, plays well, sounds good. It of course has rosewood fingerboard along with cheaper pickups and hardware. A good guitar, but don't pay more than $400 w/case.

The GL-500MT is the closest thing of all the LTDs to the real ESP, as it has maple body and real floyd and real SD pickup, these usually go for $550 to $600.

The sunburst tiger and the skulls and snakes are built more like the kami, again pay in the range of $400.

Here's some pics of the Lynch LTDs:

I´ve spent some time with the LTD M1 Tiger, and it was pretty damn killer for the money.

I have the LTD M1 Tiger/GL 600MT. It is my #1 player, simply because it plays and sounds great and it did not cost a fortune. This thing feels very substantial and is built and finished better then I ever expected. The neck back shape is quite diffrent then that of it's ESP cousin.I have played both. The ESP is much more rounded like a baseball bat where the LTD is more of a U/tapered flat back.Very comfortable to play even though it has a wide nut width 1 3/4.I otfen here people complain that the Flyod nut is narrower then the fingerboard and that is true. This is no flaw but how Mr. Lynch's guitars are built. It is to allow extra space between the E strings and the edge of the fingerboards and prevents the strings from falling off and keeps string spacing the same as a guitar with a 1 11/16 nut width. I wish all my Charvels were built this way.In fact my future Custom Orders will be built like this.Awsome guitar if you can find one.
