Fuck guitar center. I will gladly pay extra $$$ on anything to not have to step foot in that place. Besides, if you know people at other stores, you can get just as good of a deal.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

I've never bought a new guitar from GC, just used. I found a Lynch LTD 500GL and walked out the door for around $250 with case. The hang tag said $499, and that was without the case. You do need to find a manager, it seems they usually just want to move stuff and let the other sales people make the profit.

For accesories I've got them to match MF many time. Cases, cables, straps, etc....

Yo Posepatrol,

I recently started a Rand guitar thread trying to find info, history, production totals, prototypes, etc. Do you have any info that you could share. I would like to put together a database and account for as many of these instruments as possible.

First thing to remember about used gear from GC.
In most cases, it cost them (GC) nothing.
They most likely took the trade-in and sold the guy the new guitar for cost plus a point or two to cover the deal.
So what ever they re-sell the trade-in for is generaly pure profit. There are rare occasions where that's not the case, but again, they are rare.
