    Sholomance is the guy to see about BCRs. Ken (Warrior) might be able to tell something about them as well since he worked for them in the Class Axe days (IIRC).

      if you take the battery out the preamp will work for a few minutes, its odd some go completely silent some you still get output with the preamp on & no battery connected after its drained. the middle knob should be preamp volume, i was told they never did a preamp without a seperate preamp volume, maybe someone rewired it. & yes the BCR preamp does flavor the tone, on some of mine more so than others, it usually makes it more bassy & thick, its not a clean boost.
