Anybody have any feedback on this model. I have another Japanese Squier with a Floyd that I really like so I'm hoping for the same quality.

The squires from 83-84 were widely considered to be better than their US counterparts. I don't know about 86, but it looks like it could be a cool axe. If I recall, these had great necks but iffy electronics. If thats the case, upgrade the pickups and you're ready to rock.

this is a Squier contemporary strat (based on the HM Strat) period 85-86, when most of the Fender guitars were built in Japan due to the lack of an actual production facility in the USA (since CBS sold Fender without fixed assets).. these are nice guitars!
