Tempted to Buy One of These

You guys ever hear of this company? The bass player in Megadeth has one of their basses.

The soloist model supposedly sustains for 45 seconds compared to a Les Paul which sustains 30 seconds. Articulation is suppose to be great.

They are expensive but man I want to try one of these out.

They have a patented neck - they claim to understand how to process the carbon graphite materials - that the other manufacturers don't understand how to fully take advantage of the technology - and that it results in superior sound qualitites.

FORTY FIVE SECONDS?!?!?!?!?! For those REALLY long song outros and string bends that last one-quarter the duration of a song, or one entire guitar solo that is just one bent note... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've seen an ad for Rockmace in Guitar Player magazine, I believe... I loved the headstock.

I'm not sure how the carbon fibre construction works, but it sure looks cool on the headstock.

Well that just killed it for me.

So they cover the neck in carbon fiber... big deal.
Carbon fiber has no real tone value, but it will sure prevent the neck from breaking.
Parker did a much better job with the "Fly".
And that thing has a ton of sustain.

The reason the Bass Player in Megadeth is playing one is they gave him one cause he is the Basss Player in Megadeth.

I'm sorry but that site is shocking. If they're charging those sort of prices for guitars they could at least employ a decent web page designer. It looks amateurish [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img].
