• How about this Warlock?

My buddy has owned this guitar since before I have known him, and that's 17 years now...so i know it's history...and with the exception of the EMG and Kahler trem, it's all original...

It's a rare one with this custom paintjob...

you should be able to make out the "U.S." of the "Made In U.S.A." in that yellow circle, it didn't translate too well to the digital cam...

                Now I see.

To be honest I hate Leamin graphics too. But that Warlock looks cool.

                    Re: How about this Warlock?

hmmmm very strange. does your buddy have the original V-trem that was on that guitar, i NEED one bad. what does the rear of the body look like some of those warlocks have different comfort contours & bevels than others. BTW its a warlock 2 late82 early 83. too bad its got an EMG now the preamp in those things kickass.

                        Re: How about this Warlock?

well, i think the graphic is what gives it it's personality, IMO, especially being a Warlock and all, i just don't think some of Rico's other models could pull off the same effect with their namesakes, I.E. Mockingbird, Seagull, Eagle, Ironbord, etc...and j2379, that Kahler was installed before I met him back in '87 or '88, so no, I doubt if he has the original bridge, which was a stop tail, anyway...

                          Re: How about this Warlock?

damn that thing with a stop tail would be sweet, & rare most of the warlocks like that had v-trems. like this

yours also had the preamp, preamp volume & tone, which is common

                            Re: How about this Warlock?

Yeah, i don't know what he did with the previous bridge and electronics systems, he had that EMG system installed when they first came out, and has the "Afterburner" (i think that's what it's called) pre-amp booster as well, so basically he just replaced the Dimarzio system it came with (with) an EMG system with the same features, only the EMG was/is a LOT quieter!

you know, J, I made a liar out of myself, i just double-checked the backside and it does have a trem spring cover, so yeah, it did have the original tremolo, not a stop tail. and there is a contour in the valley of the topside on the backside, this is a very well balanced guitar though, even since i loved Mockingbirds way better although they had shitty balance...
