  • Ernie Ball Rosewood Axis

I have to have one of these, I think it's gorgeous, and if the neck feels anything like the rosewood necks on the PRS, it's gonna be awesome. Ernie Ball makes a hell of a guitar....

yup, this is a very nice axe.
i played on it at the Frankfurt Musikmesse this year.
nice feeling, but i personly prefer maple necks on the EVH/axis.

Wow, palisander rosewood I guess. Indian Rosewood is generally regarded as not strong enough for neck or body construction. Very cool nonetheless.

I love my purple quilt Axis, but that just looks wrong to me - sorry!

Did you play the one with the vintage or the floyd?

                Re: Ernie Ball Rosewood Axis

I played one of these (an Axis proper, with the Floyd) a couple weeks back and it was stellar - the neck was unreal... I was broke so couldn't buy it, but if I had the money I would have then and there... Awesome ride...

Aww. If your going rosewood you should go all the way! Although to be fair, not many companies make rosewood bodies, Warmoth does but to make them on a larger production scale would probably not really work I guess. Might have been cool for a limited NAMM run though.
