Re: Show your 7-strings!

    Having played Mike's seven, I can say that it positively smokes. I'm sure the trans black finish makes that top really hard to photograph.

      Yes, it does make it hard to photo. My Schecter is trans black and came out darker in the pic... I had to lighten it a little with my photo editer.

            Hey Jack, how does that Warmoth neck feel? I'm shopping for a seven right now, and I wanted to know what they most felt like. I've played sevens by Carvin, ESP, Ibanez, Schecter, and Jackson.

            It feels pretty good actually. I can't play a seven string very well, hell I can't play a six. This doesn't get much use at all. I have considered selling it.

              @kruneh:
              the schecter looks very nice!

              here is my 7-string:

              normaly i don´t like IBZ too much, but i hate the look of the jackson DR7. the dinky body looks too small for a 7 string guitar.

                  LOL not really.

                  it is a RG7321 and i put on a white sticker which a friend printed at his factory.

                  ibz never did a productionline of johns 7-string.

                    The neck looks bound though? Is that just the picture?

                    I'm supposed to get my custom 7 body back this week, but here's some pics anyway. It's a 7620 replacement body, and I had the dots in the neck pulled and replaced with purpleheart as well. Bartolini pickups and preamp fill out the electronics.

                      Yeah, I was pretty sure they didn't do production versions of his 7s. Looks cool anyway!

                        @jim777, you are right.
                        the RG7321 has a neck-binding, but no headstock-binding.

                          Kramer Striker 7. Plays pretty damn well, just needs new pups.

                          Any recommendations?

                          I want something with bite for the bridge... of the pups I have in my sixers, the Dimebucker is my fave, so something close to that would be nice..
