Flame koa thick enough to make a solid body is very expensive. You can definitely find it, but its gonna set you back quite a bit. Those pieces speedmonkey posted look only thick enough for a 3/4 top at best (maybe even not that thick?)or for acoustic sets. You can however get very nice flame koa neck billets for not to bad. Coupled with flame maple wings on a neck thru it looks killer.
I had a Koa shorthorn Mock for a brief while. I have pics of it somewhere stashed away (the old paper type...LOL!)
I couldn't get past the shape, so I let her go....I prefer the more common Mock shape, but was never able to score a Koa. I love Mock Supremes (bound ebony boards with clouds)
That would be one of my dream guitars as well.
