I respect your opinion, Shawn.

But I doubt if you got Gilmour's original #1, Clapton's Blackie or Hendrix's strat, you'd talk the same way. And there are some other artists that are as high in my book as the aforementioned three. So their instruments would get the same treatment, I'd say.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope....I don't put people on pedestals, although I admire and respect some folks talents, they are just human beings just me. I've met rock stars, actors and sports stars and I'm not the star stuck type of guy From a business perspective I'd certaily want to know the market value of their instruments tho ☺

I would keep it if you love it that much. If you are going to let it go make sure you will not regret it later on.

Shawn, do we have any 'cousins' in the house that work at Christie's or Lloyd's of London? It's an obscure call (no disrepect to B.G.)...

Absolutely. I'll make it worth my while if it comes to fruition. It's going to be something cool or nothing at all.

Let me guess:

1) Yngwie's 'Duck'
2) Vai's 'EVO'
3) Lynch's 'Mom'

Re: Brad Gillis = What a predicament!

Well, dreams can come true, im living proof. For years i dreamed of Marc Ferrari's camo guitar from the jackson/charvel ad. 2 Years agoi scored it from marc, around the time i was pricing a replica with GMW(i got it 250 cheaper)If brad was willing to trade me for a guitar and he had a cool one to do it with, id take it in a heart beat. The zipper one was used in the "sentimental street" video. His hamers are cool, but if he regrettng not keepin any of his signature strats around, he aint gonna let his hammer model go now.Floyded les paul?please, he aint letting tht one go.He used that on the ozzy tour 23 years ago, that one goes to his grave. He'll most likely offer up something with out "sentimental" value.

He used to have a black strat, blackstrathead(dont tell me you love me video).Id ask for pics of what hes willing to part with.

I know those fernandes are rare, but the last one on ebay went for less the a grand. He isnt letting a 3 grand guitar go for it.Id love to be in your predicament.First of all, id have a kick ass brad gillis model.Second, if i trade, i get one of his personal guitars. If you have a choice, make sure its one youve seen him with in pics from back in the day.Not from the state fair last month.

Ive had/have guitars that were owned by George lynch, tommy skeoch , jake e lee and marc ferrari.I get off on guitars owned by guys i admired back in the day.Theres a magic in them for me,some guys dont care who owned them in the past.I do but then again, im a groupie.hahaha

Good luck with this.Hopefully hes cool and hooks you up with something .

BTW, i dont beleive Brad Kelly ended up selling his to brad gillis.I think they just took pics that day and now Gillis has a serious jones for one, thanks to brad k reminding him how cool those guitars were.

Thanks for the info bad seed. That's exactly what I did; I asked him for photos of what he's willing to pony up. Last night he read his email at like 2:30AM EST so maybe when I wake up tomorrow, I'll have some sort of answer.
