Pulled the trigger on a Gibson Faded Flying V. Sounds really good and looks great. I'm thinking of painting it white.....

Nice! Congrats!

That would kickass in White with kidney-bean or keystone Grovers. Needless to say I love the inlays. Are those Iommi pickups?

Congrats. It would look great in white, but it doesn't look bad the way it is. Sorry I'm no help.

Re: Gibson Flying V

Mine had the ebony board too and i really think it is good to have the Ebony on these guitars since there is no maple cap. Defintly a nice guitar, what ball park did that thing cost?
I have played the newer faded ones and the neck is slightly thicker then its bigger brother (the one i have) i am wondering what the neck size is on the ones with the cresent moons.

Been eyeing those myself lately - especially the Crescent Moon inlaid model - I'd have it Schenkered with a Floyd and block inlays

The Schenker needs matching vintage/olympic white pg, knobs and possibly tr cover. And it'll be da bitch.
