  • Kahler Gibson Les Paul Customs

I'm seeing that these go for a lot less than regular Gibson Les Pauls.

Anyone have any? I'm going to start looking at them more closley on ebay now.

How do they sound and how does the kahler feel on something like a LP?

I like Kahlers personally but they are different beasts and even for me they don't belong on LPs. I would say if you don't have any experience with Kahler, a Kahlered LP might not be the best starting place. For me LP = TOM with tailpiece anyways.

If you want a cheaper LP, an LPC Lite with fixed bridge might be your ticket. Those seem to go for fairly cheap compared to regular LPCs even Norlins.

My best friend in high school had one of these. If you like a Kahler system, go for it. If you are not familiar with them, it will not be like owning a true Les Paul. Not that it is any less of a guitar, but the tone and feel are definitly different than a stop tail with TOM.
