mh, this thing looks great, too. i don't like the fact that it's got a single coil in the neck position, though.

which one would you say is the higher quality guitar? the rg 550 or the dinky professional?

I owned three of them (at different times) in the late '80s - early '90s. I could never get a setup to stick, 'cause the neck would warp if the humidity changed 1%. I finally decided that I wasn't buying any more of them. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I see it went for 350, did you snag it? If you did, congrats! Nice score!

Those Ibanez guitars play very well, but I don't think the finish holds up too good... A guy I know has the exact same guitar, and his paint chipped easily.

nah, unfortunately not. i was bidding 349,99....until like 20 sec before the end the price was like 250 i think, so at least i made the other dude shell out a whole lot more money [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

i'm really careful with gear...my guitars stay in hardshell cases all the time. the only guitar that has some paint chips is my king v, but thats the usual stuff on the wings that basically any v shaped guitar has.

i don't like ibanez or guitars with scratch plates/pick guards. i think they look tacky and cheap. that's why i own two jacksons - dxmg and wrmg.
